Tropical Key West is visited by millions every year for its beautiful beaches. However, locals know that there are some real gems among these sandy shores if you know where to look. Here are some of the gems we have found to make your Key West vacation an exciting and unique experience.
Things to Do in Key West
Hemingway House
Located at 907 Whitehead Street and nestled in the heart of Old Town Key West, this unique property was home to one of America’s most honored and respected authors. Ernest Hemingway lived and wrote here for more than ten years. Calling Key West home, he found solace and great physical challenge in the turquoise waters that surround this tiny island. Step back in time and visit the rooms and gardens that witnessed the most prolific period of this Nobel Prize winner’s writing career.

Enjoy a dolphin watching tour followed by a guided kayak tour through the mangroves to explore the shallow waters of Key West. Glide through the winding mangrove creeks and paddle through inches of water, where you can easily view and learn about the fragile Keys ecosystem. This is a birder’s paradise, but you will also see tropical fish, crabs, sea stars, jellyfish, sea cucumbers, and sponges.
Jet Ski Tour
Take a guided jet ski tour around the island or spend the whole day on the water with an All Day Adventure. Snorkeling, Banana Boat, Wave Runners, Floating Island, Kayak, Parasailing, Breakfast and Lunch … You name it, you do it!
